Privacy policy
This policy covers the personal information AI Partner PTY LTD handles when you contact us about Sentinel and when Sentinel runs a sweep on a server you control. We process it under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
What we collect
- Contact details you send us: name, email address, phone number, company.
- Technical details of the estate you ask us to sweep: hostnames, package and service inventories, configuration files, logs and the findings the checks produce.
- Operational records of each sweep, so a finding can be traced to the check that produced it.
- Standard web server logs for this site, including IP address, browser and pages requested.
Why we process it
- To answer your enquiry and to quote for the service.
- To run the sweeps you have asked for and to send you the reports.
- To keep the audit trail needed to operate the service and to support you.
- To meet our own legal obligations.
Who can see it
Access is limited to the AI Partner staff who run Sentinel for you. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for marketing. We use sub processors for hosting and email delivery, and they process data on our instruction only.
Where it is stored, and for how long
Sweep data and reports are stored on servers we control. Reports are kept for the life of the engagement so that drift can be measured against a baseline. When the engagement ends, we keep the last report for 90 days and then delete it, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
Secrets
Sentinel is designed to report the location and type of an exposed secret, never its value. Secret values are redacted from reports and logs.
Your rights
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for a correction, ask for a deletion, or object to processing. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
Cookies
This site sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics scripts. If you choose to reduce effects, that preference is stored in your browser, not on our server.
